The Gold Coast has attempted to present more responsible weight distribution. First, by holding it's divisions to 3 age groups. Second by adopting the "X" player policy and third by limiting the size of older X players. This conference gives the median and larger players more of an opportunity to play and be competitive. As a coaching staff we are always looking for innovative yet safe ways to teach tackling in our game. To continue to make further gains in this direction Valley Thunder Youth Football will be incorporating the Tackle Ring for weekly practices. In an effort to help young players learn to take the head out of tackle training.
